What is a PRODUCT MANAGER?
A Product Manager is a person responsible for the development of products for an organization, defining the business strategy behind a product as well as specifying its functional requirements. They understand the problems the product is intended to solve orchestrating the various activities associated with ensuring that a product is delivered that meets users' needs.
Product Managers set out a product vision and Product Roadmap, ensuring the cohesiveness and collaboration between all members of the team, driving the product forward. They are often at the intersection of business, design, and technology.
What is a PRODUCT OWNER?
At the most basic level, a Product Owner is the leader responsible for maximizing the value of the products created by a SCRUM Development Team. To do this, an Agile Product Owner takes on several roles including business strategist, product designer, market analyst, customer liaison, and project manager.
Product Owners, utilize the empirical product planning features of SCRUM, via the Product Backlog and iterate toward that vision every sprint. He/she articulates the Product Vision to the SCRUM Team early and often. The Product Owner is the lead facilitator of key stakeholder involvement and the product marketplace expert.
What is a BUSINESS ANALYST?
A Business Analyst is someone who analyzes an organization's documents, operations, workflow, and processes proposing and implementing non-technical and/or technical solutions. A Business Analyst may be responsible for business intelligence, benchmarking, KPI's, ROI and/or change management.
Business Analysts may work with development teams to implement and/or enhance systems or software, both internal and customer facing. He/she would manage the SDLC from idea to implementation, to post product support.
